This book was about a girl named Alison. Her mother Helen and her were fighting and then all of a sudden her mother got arrested. She got very scared. The only person she could call was Kelly her best friend. When she called her friend she answered. But what she didn’t know was that her friend was a backstabber. Her boyfriend got stolen by Kelly. Kelly was a trouble maker. Will her mother get out of jail? Will she get revenge? You will have to find out by reading this book.

I think other people should read this book because it teaches people how friendships could be. Also how friends could backstab you and you could get revenge. I really liked this book because I could really relate to the book and the problems of backstabbing which I had a lot of in 6th grade. Maybe people who read this book can relate to it just like I did.

The book Eragon, by Christopher Paolini, was by a large chance the BEST book I have ever read. A teenager, named Eragon, lives on a farm with his cousin and his uncle. One day, Eragon hunts for food in a forbidden place called the Spine. He sees a polished, blue stone in front of him. Eragon forgets about his hunting and returns to his farm with the stone in hand. The next day, the rock cracked and a dragon came out. Eragon reached for it, and a mark appeard on his hand which binded his mind to the Dragon. In about a week, the Dragon grows almost as big as Eragon. Strange creatures arrive at Eragon's home and start destroying everything. Including his uncle. Eragon runs away from his farm seeking revenge. Eragon names his Dragon Saphira. Saphira is a female dragon, and able to fly. With her, Eragon sets fourth to a place where Elves roam the land, and where he can get the training he needs to get his revenge.

Eldest

By Christopher Paolini

Pages: 704
Grade Level: 7

Another one of my favorite books is the sequel to Eragon: Eldest. Yes, I know what you're thinking, it's a sequel to one of the best selling books, Eragon. Eldest takes place after Eragon kills a beast known as "The Shade." After the battle, Eragon becomes famous in some continents. He continues his way to the land he originally set out to. The story also shows the point of view from Eragon's cousin, Roran. Roran, survived the attack and tries to marry the butcher's daughter. However, since he has no farm, no money, and the butcher is very strict, Roran has a hard time. The beasts' who destroyed most of Roran's farm comes back. Roran, and all of the towns people must kill the beasts, as well as the soldiers to survive. If you liked Eragon, you’ll love Eldest!

When The Wind Blows is an amazing fantasy by James Patterson. It is about a man trying to find himself, a lady trying to find love, and a girl trying to find freedom. A girl named Max breaks out of a crazy place called the “school.” It is a place where mutated kids are put to sleep or tested. Max is one of the mutated kids…she has wings. She has a brother who is just like her and a baby brother who has that same gift.

One day, Max and her brother Matthew break out of this horrible place. Later they realize they have to go back…their fate awaits them.

The After Life
By: Gary Soto

Genre: Fiction
Pages: 158

Grade Level: 7

This book is about a 17 year old boy who is killed on the day of the fall dance. His name is Jesus. He was going to ask his best friend Rachel to go to the dance with him because he really liked her, but he never got the chance. A kid with yellow shoes was in his classroom. When he told the kid that he liked his shoes, the kid took out a pocket knife and stabbed him 3 times. His spirit came out of his body, and now he can walk through walls. He can’t control the way he gets around and weird things start to happen to him. His body parts start to disappear as well as other strange things. Let’s see what happens when he visits family members and meets new ghost friends.
Now you know what happened in the book a little, let me tell you why this is my favorite book. This is my favorite book because I like the way the book is written. For example, it starts out with a simple school day and then is turned into a day of murder. It’s like a mystery when you are so into the book that you have to read more so you can find out what happens next or what’s going to happen to the main character. You just don’t want to put the book down. That is why The After Life is my favorite book.

Imhotep fell in love with Ancksunamun (a princess). That love was impossible. Only pharaohs were allowed to touch her. But Imhotep did not care. Since he loved Ancksunamun that will cause Imhotep’s death. But Ancksunamun killed the pharaoh of Egypt. Then the pharaoh’s daughter told the guards “Go my father needs your help GO, GO.” So the guards came and they found the pharaoh dead. Ancksunamun gets a knife and kills herself. Then the guards get Imhotep. The pharaoh’s daughter wanted revenged. She came back from the dead 3 to 4 hundred years later and she finds Ancksunamun and Imhotep together. She seeks revenged on them.

I recommended this book to couples because sometimes it is hard to ask someone out and it will be difficult if you are to different kinds of people. For example, race, poor, different religions, etc.

My favorite book is Interstellar Pig, by William Sleator. A boy named Barney has had a hard time out in the country. He is the only one out there. He lives 45 minutes away from any town.

One day three people named Zena, Manny, and Joe move next door in an old house. At first, his parents did not like them, but later Barney went over to their house everyday. Barney gets real close to them. Barney breaks into the house and almost falls asleep! While he was snooping through some papers, he found names of people he could not pronounce. Then he hears the door open and he runs to jump out the window. Lucky for him he was on the first floor.

The next day, Barney’s finds that his parents are missing. He goes over to the neighbor’s house and begins to play a really strange (and dangerous) game. They said that Barney had stolen some things and now he has to play this game. Later, Barney realizes it really isn’t a game at all! The secret is soon revealed…
